Welcome to another Journal Your Story Prompt, Brand New Day. I thought it would be fun to just create a video showing my process to creating a day in my journal. I had a creative crafty day of making Valentines so this day includes images from magazines, stickers and photos. Hope you are inspired to create a BRAND NEW DAY in your journal too!

Welcome back to the Journal Your Story ~ Episode 8, using the prompt ‘Sightseeing” This is a documentation of a future story, a trip I plan to eventually take, to the English Countryside. Following along with one of my favorite books by Susan Branch’s called “A Fine Romance” Falling in love with the English Countryside I plan the sites I want to visit and add it to this journaling page. I hope you are inspired to create a “future Story’ in your journal. Thanks for watching! Rebecca
Hello and welcome back to the next prompt in the “Journal Your Story” Series! I had so much fun creating this page. For this prompt I wanted to create something that included colors, rainbows, butterflies and unicorns for my fairy tale life I want to create! I hope you are inspired to create a page to your own path!
Thanks for watching, Rebecca
Welcome back to Video 2 in the Journal Your Story Series! The prompt is ” Passionately Curious” and I decided to journal about my Great Aunt. She was an amazing person, so full of adventure, love and wisdom. She passed at age 75, when I was 10 years old but I have such a vivid and fond memories of her. How I wish I could sit and talk with her again. I am passionately curious about her life as a young adult and the whens and hows of her life. She loved her parents so much, but I know there were times she lived away from them. I also used this prompt as a way to document my journey with her, what she meant to me and conversations and experiences I can remember. I have an album full of pictures and memories, so I decided to use this one to document.
So what are you passionately curious about? Is it family, other counties, music, art… so many possibilities! I hope you are inspired to create in your journal! Here is a video of my process.
Thanks for watching!
January Quote: She Lives Life in her own Little Fairy Tale!
Hello January 2021 and Happy New Years! I remember as a kid, New Years Day was right up there with Christmas. We would celebrate the day with a BIG meal that included black eye peas and some years we would spend the night at my grandparents house at the lake. Today we will be eating a big meal with black eye peas, cabbage and a garlic herb meatloaf my husband makes. So good! Then I will begin the task of putting away the Christmas Decorations.
This year I actually feel I am ahead of schedule, my daughter and I set our planners up and created our vision boards last weekend. I added my One Little Word “Fairy Tale” Vision board to the beginning of my planner and made a copy for my journal. My board is full of ways to have a Fairy Tale life!
Keep an eye out over the next few days, I am going to be posting several videos: Kicking off January in my journal, continuing the “Journal Your Story” Video Series and having a flip though of my December Daily. I am sad to see Christmas go, but happy to start a fresh year with new adventures. Speaking of new adventures, have you seen the posts on IG and Facebook about the new CWR Sticker Club? Along with the monthly CWR Journal Kit I have started a CWR Sticker Club. I am going to have a blog post this weekend to tell you all about it!
Speaking of the CWR Kit, this Month’s journal kit is all about Valentines! I know, I know, nothing like moving from one holiday to the next! This kit is so adorable, it will have a vintage flair to it. The name is “Be Mine” and here is the star of the kit!
Another goal this year is to also BLOG a whole lot more, it’s so easy to post to IG and FB and be done but I am really wanting to post more about creativity, art and Journaling! Well, for now I am signing off but stay turned for upcoming blog posts and videos! Also, to welcome in the Winter months, I created a printable for you to download.
Have a great New Year’s Day!! XO, Rebecca
The “Journal Your Story” Video Series is a way to kick off the New Year, with telling your story. If you are a memory keeper, scrapbooker, journaler, photographer, or social media queen… we all tell our story. I sometimes hear from others, “I don’t have an interesting life and don’t know what to write or journal about” Well, here are just a few questions you could write about: What is your weather? What do you like to eat? What are your favorite clothes you like to wear? Are you reading anything? What are your dreams? This is your story… and adding all the fluff…washi, ribbon, ephemera, stickers.. is just a bonus!
Inside this past CWR kit there was a set of journaling cards (from the Vicki Boutin Paper Line) with “word prompts” In this video series I plan to use those words as prompts. In case you were unable to purchase the kit, here are the words so everyone can play along!!
I hope this series brings you inspiration for journaling your story.
Hello an Happy almost December! Believe me, I am not rushing time BUT I am excited to start documenting in my December Daily Journal. In this video I’m creating a page to document the Christmas Tea we had a couple of weeks ago and creating a page for the Christmas Planning I have added to the back of my DD journal. I am also answering the questions I received on my Instagram. Thank you for them, it was fun to answer. See you in my next video!
Hello! After a bit of technical difficulties I was able to create a short video of the Christmas Tea Table Setting and use Voice Over! This Ole Gal is figuring this video editing out! The questions that you asked over on Instagram will be answered in another video soon! Thanks for such an MAGICAL week of creating with me! There is no “being behind” on these projects, they can be created anytime! Merry Christmas!
I have made so many of the felt star shaped Santas. The first time I made them I was a stay at home mom with my son. I was watching HGTV everyday, remember when it was all crafting and food? So I was one crafty babe and decided to make all felt ornaments for the Christmas tree. I want to include this story in my December Journal so I also made a Santa without the stuffing. Can’t wait to see what you create, be sure to tag me at #CWRCREATIVECHRISTMAS
I have put together a template to help with the Santa Shapes, you can print it here:
Happy Creating, Rebecca
