Hello and welcome back to another Journal Your Story entry. Today’s Prompt is “and Away we Go” I am still using the journal cards by Vicki Boutin from the ‘Journal Your Story” CWR Kit. In this video I am closing out the month of February with the last entry of the month. This weekend we spent a Girl’s weekend planning out “Camp Wonderland” I have been hoarding Alice book pages from a Little Golden Book to use throughout the planning and the actual event. Oh My Goodness!! Can it be February already?? I have to admit I always get pretty excited about starting a new journal. It’s like a fresh start. I’m looking forward to filling the beginning pages with all thing romantic, pink, and lovely because it’s the month of LOVE! Is this video I talk about how I set up the cover and first couple of pages in my February Journal!
Hello and Welcome back to Creative Journal Your Story~ Episode 9 and this is using the prompt~ ‘Falling in Love with new Cities and People I have Never met” This was such a fun page to do. This is another “Future” page in my journal and a lifetime Dream i hope to accomplish! I truly believe if you put your dreams on paper and out there in the World they will manifest. It also give you goals to work towards. I found this quote online and I find it truly motivational: Diana Ross Quotes “You can’t just sit there and wait for people to give you that golden dream. You’ve got to get out there and make it happen for yourself.” “Instead of always looking at the past, I put myself ahead 20 years and try to look at what I need to do now in order to get there then.”
I’ve created a journal page of looking ahead and where I would like to be in the future! What is your dreams and passions? Add them to your journal!
Welcome back to the Journal Your Story ~ Episode 8, using the prompt ‘Sightseeing” This is a documentation of a future story, a trip I plan to eventually take, to the English Countryside. Following along with one of my favorite books by Susan Branch’s called “A Fine Romance” Falling in love with the English Countryside I plan the sites I want to visit and add it to this journaling page. I hope you are inspired to create a “future Story’ in your journal. Thanks for watching! Rebecca
Hello and Welcome back to the Creative “Journal Your Story” – Prompt 5 “Good Food, Good Friends, Good Times” Pizza was the Hello and Welcome back to the Creative “Journal Your Story” – Prompt 5 “Good Food, Good Friends, Good Times” Pizza was the food I picked for the topic and used an older photo from 1998 to capture a story of my friends and I. I remember so many times we all hung out and ordered pizza, watched movies and talked. Such good times. What good food, good friends and good times do you think of… go create a journal entry describing it.
Welcome back to Video 3 in the “Journal Your Story” Series~ Today’s word prompt is “Just Around the Corner” I had originally thought about journaling about a room in my house but then I went and ran errands on Saturday and saw all the Valentine’s out so I thought it would be fun to Create a fun and whimsical page in my journal. It was fun to use Valentine ephemera and to get creative! I hope you are inspired to create something that makes you happy and is ‘Just Around the Corner”
Welcome back to Video 2 in the Journal Your Story Series! The prompt is ” Passionately Curious” and I decided to journal about my Great Aunt. She was an amazing person, so full of adventure, love and wisdom. She passed at age 75, when I was 10 years old but I have such a vivid and fond memories of her. How I wish I could sit and talk with her again. I am passionately curious about her life as a young adult and the whens and hows of her life. She loved her parents so much, but I know there were times she lived away from them. I also used this prompt as a way to document my journey with her, what she meant to me and conversations and experiences I can remember. I have an album full of pictures and memories, so I decided to use this one to document.
So what are you passionately curious about? Is it family, other counties, music, art… so many possibilities! I hope you are inspired to create in your journal! Here is a video of my process.
The “Journal Your
Story” Video Series is a way to kick off the New Year, with telling your
story. If you are a memory keeper, scrapbooker, journaler, photographer, or
social media queen… we all tell our story. I sometimes hear from others,
“I don’t have an interesting life and don’t know what to write or journal
about” Well, here are just a few questions you could write about: What is your weather? What do you like to eat?
What are your favorite clothes you like to wear? Are you reading anything? What
are your dreams? This is your story… and adding all the fluff…washi,
ribbon, ephemera, stickers.. is just a bonus!
Inside this past CWR kit there was a set of journaling cards (from the Vicki Boutin Paper Line) with “word prompts” In this video series I plan to use those words as prompts. In case you were unable to purchase the kit, here are the words so everyone can play along!!
