I have filled it up with paints, pens, stickers and ephemera. So let’s go and I’ll show you what I’m taking with me.

We did it! We have made our Train Case all your own. In this video I show you how I make final touches and plan to seal the artwork on my magical traincase. As I mention in the video, plan to continue to add bits of artwork so I won’t be sealing the “body” of the train case just yet. Also, I plan on coming back and adding one last video to this series to show you how I plan to fill it up with all my on the go Art Supplies! Thank you so much for joining me on this adventure. Ready for some fun??? I lost track of time while working on the inside because it was so FUN!!!!! In this video, I’m all about making the inside of my whimsical magic train case..just that..WHIMSICAL AND MAGIC! I want to open it up and be inspired to create and SMILE! Keep in mind that this can be an ongoing project and doesn’t have to be completed 100%. It can be added to and changed. I hope you are inspired and have fun creating your special inside.
Hello! Today we are back to start adding our design and the first layer of paint. In this video you will see me painting on the sketched designs. This is adding the first layer of design. In tomorrow’s video we will be adding additional color and dimension to your design. I really am having fun just painting on camera and showing you my steps. I hope it is helpful and inspiring! Hello and welcome to the New Video Series~ Creating a Whimsical Train Case. If you do not have a train case, you can use a paper mache box as well! I wanted to give a suggested supply list. This is another project that you can use up your stash as well.
- Acrylic paint~ choose your colors
- Paintbrushes~ several sizes, large for covering big surfaces and thinner for finer details
- Gesso
- Pencil for sketching
- Black pen for outlining (Micron Archival Ink)
- Sealant: Liquidix Matte Medium or Collage Pauge
- Paper~ hymnal pages, one sided cardstock, napkins, tissue paper, book pages, diecuts, ephemera
- ribbon, lace, pom pom trim, material
- Glue for Trim (Fabri-fix)
The plan is to add paint and designs to the outside and beautify the inside with papers and trims. Here is a quick intro video:
